Spades was made for the kitchen table and the cookout, but the crew doesn’t always fit around one table anymore. Online, you can keep the game going: practice against the computer, play strangers when you want a challenge, or set up a private table for your regular partner, wherever they live.
This page brings together everything we’ve tested: the best Spades websites, the best apps, and a review of each one.
Ways to play Spades online
Against the computer.
The best way to learn bidding, or to test a Nil without letting your partner down. Tableza has three levels, with a hint button on easy that suggests your bid and your card. World of Card Games starts you against bots straight away, and VIP Spades has Free Training.
With your crew.
Tableza, World of Card Games and Trickster Cards all have private tables. On World of Card Games, bots fill any empty seats. Trickster adds video chat and lets you set your own house rules.
Against players worldwide.
All three sites have public games. On your phone, Spades Plus, VIP Spades and Spades Royale are built for online play, around coins or chips.
On your phone.
All three sites work in a phone browser. If you’d rather have an app, see our Top 3 Best Spades Apps.

- Bring in your crew. Set up a private table and send the link to your partner and the other team.
What to look for in a Spades site or app

- Your variant. Cutthroat, Suicide, Whiz and Mirror are only on some platforms.
